Fr. Pat on Vacation

In accordance with diocesan guidelines, priests are granted one month of vacation and one pilgrimage annually. Fr. Pat completed an 11-day pilgrimage to Ireland in July and used 14 days of vacation during July and August. He is currently taking the remainder of his vacation this October and will return on Tuesday, October 28th. Please keep him in your prayers for a safe and restful time away.

Volunteer Opportunity: Liturgical Linen Ministry

We are seeking volunteers to assist with the care of our liturgical linens. This ministry involves taking home the purificators and finger towels used during weekday Masses, washing and ironing them on a weekly basis. Trunk or Treat Planning Meeting

We invite all interested volunteers to attend a planning meeting for our upcoming Trunk or Treat event. The meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 14th at 6:30 PM in one of the classrooms in Edcouch. Your support and participation are essential to making this event a success. Fifth Annual Trunk or Treat Celebration

St. Theresa and Our Lady of Guadalupe invite all families from Edcouch and La Villa to join us for our Fifth Annual Trunk or Treat on Sunday, October 26th from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the church grounds of both communities. All Souls Day candles, personalized with the name of your deceased loved one, are available for purchase at the parish office for $8.00 each. The deadline to place your order is Friday, October 17th. Candles will be ready for pickup on Friday, October 24th at the parish office

Annual Anahuac Community Cemetery Clean-Up Day

Join our parish community for the annual clean-up of Anahuac Community Cemetery on Saturday, October 25th from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. as we prepare for All Souls Day on November 2nd. Volunteers are kindly asked to bring their own lawnmowers, weed eaters, rakes, and trash bags to help beautify the grounds. Your time and effort are greatly appreciated!

Acompaña a nuestra comunidad parroquial en la limpieza anual del Cementerio Comunitario de Anahuac el sábado 25 de octubre de 9:00 a.m. a 12:00 p.m., mientras nos preparamos para el Día de los Fieles Difuntos el 2 de noviembre. Migrant Welcoming Festival Oct. 18-19 on the Basilica Grounds 

The 2025 Migrant Welcoming Festival will take place October 18–19 on the grounds of the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle– National Shrine, honoring migrant families with a weekend of celebration. The event will feature live music, dance performances, a car show, kiddie rides, jewelry, arts and crafts, food, and entertainment for all ages. Festival hours are Saturday from 3:00 to 10:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. The raffle drawing, with thousands of dollars in prizes, will be streamed live on Facebook Sunday evening. Novena to St. Thérèse of Lisieux

Novena in Honor of St. Thérèse of the Infant Jesus

All parishioners are invited to participate in a nine-day novena in honor of our Patron Saint, St. Thérèse of the Infant Jesus, beginning Tuesday, September 23rd and concluding on Wednesday, October 1st, the Feast Day of St. Thérèse. We encourage everyone to pray the novena privately at home during this period. Prayer sheets containing the novena are available in English and Spanish at the entrance of the Church.
